Day 80 8/3 24.5mi.

We enjoyed great views of Mt.Shasta at times today, but spent most of the day walking through forested area with lots of tree cover which was good because it was very toasty out today.

The trail crossed an area that was freshly logged which wasn't much fun, because there were smaller trees knocked down across the trail and the trail was all torn up from whatever huge vehicle they use to log on the sides of mountains. However it was kind of interesting to see first hand what logging does to a forest.

It was another great day of hiking ended with a spectacular sunset!
