Day 79 8/2 20.5mi.

We woke up to what seemed like every type of bird in the state of California squawking and calling across the lake. After our long day yesterday we managed to sleep through a lot of it and we didn't crawl out of our tents until about 7:20.

All morning we moved along at a good pace because there was ice cream, hot dogs, and other treats waiting for us 12 miles down the trail at Burney Falls state park. We both showered up and stuffed ourselves on convenience store treats along side about 18 other hikers, the group of us took over the porch out in front of the store.

We managed to squeeze in almost another 9 miles before we called it quits for the night.
