Chatterbox and I moved along pretty quick all morning to get to a small convenience store this afternoon. The terrain was fairly flat so we made it to the Old Station RV resort by about 4, which was perfect cause the deli closed at 5. It was blazing hot out today so the first thing we ordered when we got there was a couple milkshakes!  We enjoyed our milkshakes and sandwhiches with a few other hikers.

After about 4 more miles of hiking Chatterbox and I got to Subway Cave it's a fairly good sized cave formed by lava flows and was really neat to explore.

Two hikers who were camped about 20 feet from us found a scorpion right next to their tent just before bed!
