Day 125 9/17 30mi.

There were lots of mice crawling around the cabin as soon as we laid down they could be heard scurrying around. Luckily they didn't keep us up to long. They chewed a hole through Ninja's hip belt pocket, where he had left some candy wrappers. Chatterbox, Dr. Huss and I hung all our food in a tree outside so it stayed safe.

We got an early start and spent most of the day walking through clear cut areas, which was really hot because of the lack of shade, but we got to eat lots of huckleberries which grow well in the direct sunlight.

Thick smoke from lots of wildfires burning all over the state of Washington clouded our views all day. I believe Washington has had a record year, as far as acres burned by wildfires go. They have been in a long hot drought.
