Day 117 9/9 26mi.

Last night we actually got a small drizzle and awoke to cloudy skies in the morning. Luckily nothing was super wet and we had our tents set up.

The morning started with lots of climbing to get us up away from the Columbia river. We have been seeing lots of big slugs yesterday and today.

It was tough to get in miles today with a heavy pack and lots of uphill, but we ended up hiking until about 9 and squeezing in 26. I saw a bear today! That's the first bear since California.
