Day 121 9/13 25mi.

We woke up really excited for the day. We are going over the Goat Rocks today which everyone talks about being great. We got some great views in the morning and had about 17 miles in by lunch time.

Just after lunch we climbed up into the Goat Rocks wilderness and had tons of amazing views. We got up above the layer of smoke and could see the top of Mt. Adams as well as all of Mt. Rainer!

Chatterbox,  Dr. Huss and I found a great spot above tree line to watch the sunset and eat dinner. It was the most spectacular sunset I've ever seen! The thin layer of smoke only made it more colorful. Just below where we ate dinner there were a few flat spots protected from the wind by small trees and rockpiles, we spent the night there looking up at the stars.
