Day 24 6/8 20mi.

The morning started out pretty easy, with a small uphill and about 4 miles of downhill to a road. The last mile to the road was weird though. Someone had deliberately moved logs across the trail, pilled sticks up in the middle of the trail, and put rocks on the trail. 8t looked like whoever did it blocked the trail with debris any time there was material laying near the trail. So me and Carly moved logs and kicked rocks and sticks off the trail as we hiked.

After the road we had about 3000 feet of elevation gain over a 3.7 mile strech to the summit of a peak named after the founder of the Boy Scouts, Mt. Baden-Powell. When we got to the summit,9399ft. you could see for miles in every direction. We took a break up top with the other hikers we've been around and talked to some day hikers that were interested in our trip.

Next our days hike took us through an area that had been recently burned, there were tons of dead trees still standing on the mountain side, and many of them had fallen across the trail. It was a nice change in scenery. During this section I saw a naked hiker on the PCT, which was a bit of a suprise, I think he was just out for a day hike. Haha

We had one more steep climb towards the end of the day and found a campsite along a really old road that the trail follows for a bit.

With all the climbing and descents we did today it sure feels like we did a lot more than 20 miles!
