We hit the 1,000 mile mark today woohoooooo!!

We woke up this morning to boat loads of mosquitos since we were camped down in a canyon with a lot of water running through it. After quickly packing up our stuff we made it up about a mile out of ths canyon and stopped for breakfast in a dry spot free of mosquitos.

We met a few more new thru-hikers today, which was nice.

When your walking along the trail out here it's often hard to conceptualize that the small path your on actually leads to Canada, and that all the small three foot steps you take do in fact add up.  When you reach a spot like we did today though, 1,000 miles, it makes you stop and realize that all your steps do add up to something big and your making progress towards your goal.
